Encountering Your Sacred Activism in Our Lady of the Side-Eye

In this gathering, Christena will share additional research and insights into how people of all races practice anti-Blackness that desecrates the body of the Black Madonna.

In this session you will:

  • Learn about a reliable model for identifying subtle anti-Blackness in ourselves and in our communities

  • Reflect and discern how Our Lady of the Side-Eye is inviting you into a more daring and profound practice of sacred activism

  • For BIPOC pilgrims, discover how the Black Madonna’s Black and brown body speaks directly to your embodied experience in the world

ADDITIONAL RESOURCES

A special note from Christena: Beloved pilgrims, you do not need to “prepare” for each pilgrimage stop. Please come as you are. The Black Madonna doesn't need you to "study" and "practice" incessantly in order to be on this journey. However, we are offering additional resources as a way to support and nourish you on this journey and as a point of connection between you and your fellow pilgrims.
